Overnight Oats- An Easy & Healthy Meal Prep Friendly Breakfast
This has been one of my absolute favorite meal prep breakfasts for years and years now! I can not tell you how many times I have made this AND I enjoy it every time. There are so many varieties of overnight oats out there but this is my tried and true.
This recipe itself is so easy and quick AND it can be changed up with substituting a few of the ingredients. For example, I always use almond milk however you can use which ever kind of milk you choose/like. You can also substitute half of the milk with yogurt/greek yogurt of your choice for creamier oats. I prefer to make them with all milk though. Additionally, you can use either honey or maple syrup depending what you like. I love love love to add the apples on top but there are times when I don't have any and I just forgo them. They add a tart and crispness to the meal that just amplifies the already great taste.
Depending on what you choose to do, you end up with a slightly different variety each time which is probably why I never tire of it. Even better though, it is such an easy thing to meal prep and stock in my refrigerator for busy mornings. I can have a wholesome and healthy breakfast ready and waiting for me when I wake up without having to lift a finger in the morning. This is perfect for those mornings where I have to go into the office (woah, remember those days??).
One more reason to love overnight oats if I haven't already hooked you is they are packed full of nutrients especially fiber and protein which will keep you full until your next meal and help you avoid extra snacking. This is an amazing WIN in my book.
